Back to school also means back to planning for the young people we work with. Our Youth in Transition program helps students and young adults with disabilities work toward educational and employment goals, understand their legal and educational rights, and build the skills that carry into adulthood, including resume writing, job readiness, and self-advocacy.

We also help families navigate the IEP process and apply for state and federal services. A student preparing for an upcoming IEP meeting or a young adult putting together a first resume can both find support here.

If your family has questions about what this kind of support could look like, we'd love to talk it through. Reach out to us at (518) 274-0701 or visit our website to learn more: ilchv.org/youth-in-transition
