Information & Referral

ILCHV has information that is helpful for those living with a disability, their families, caregivers, businesses, elected and appointed officials, and other professionals.  Information is provided based upon the individual needs of those asking; it can include but is not limited to information about: adaptive equipment, home modifications, laws such as the Americans with Disability Act, accessibility, benefits, community resources (lending libraries, home delivered meals for example), adaptive recreation, transportation options, how to find an interpreter for the Deaf, accessible/affordable housing, and disability specific agencies (those serving people with Traumatic Brain Injuries, who are blind, or who have Multiple Sclerosis for example).

If information is not currently known to ILCHV, staff will work to find it.  If you need disability related information, call ILCHV and speak to the receptionist, who will direct your call to the staff who has expertise in the topic of which you are interested.
